Target Audience:

Users that were tech savvy and comfortableusing a mobile device.

Challenges:

Oobtaining users that needed to take prescition drugs regularly for a younger demographic.

Research

20 users remotely on a specific date observing app interaction and capturing feedback

Testing Results

10/20 users were not satisfied with the original home page layout. This was changed after constructive feedback, to further simplify options available. 15/20 like the clean layout of the reminder page.

Learnings

The design process provided interesting feedback and changed the assumptions made.

The next steps will be to consult with product and front end development teams.

Mockups and Prototypes

Desktop Drug Reminder website

Project Goal:

The below is demonstrating on the DrugReminder website view, how the re-order page and confirmation page would be displayed. The follow up screen provides the frequency and reminder options available to the user.

Creating a desktop version for reminding to take and re-order their drugs.

The target audience was users that were not so tech savvy and assist with accessibility issues. This scope would include elderly users, as this demographic were more likely to be regular consumers of medication drugs.

I was the U/X designer responsible to create these designs and understand how they would flow in the awebsitep. This involved getting quantative user research data to understand user needs. The outcome was a successful design stage following iterations for developers to work upon.

Outcomes:

  • For website view the feedback was to amend the prescription into a horizontal view

  • The result of this, was it improved the customer experience to re-order drugs

Great Local Restaurants website

Creating a site enabling users to order and select their ideal time to have their food delivered from their favourite local restaurants.

The target audience was varied with the demographic covering users of a wide age group, including people that didn't have time to make food due to work commitment, as well as families who wanted food from their favoutite places.

In the above I've included the prototype wireframe to showcase the work involved in creating the first drafts of how the food ordering page could be displayed. This would be the standard template used for the food order page.

For this project I was responsible for the U/I to work upfront and start witht he initial designs. The data and content of the website was to come late in the journey. The research was from conducting user interviews to understand what users want from a website like this.

Outcomes:

  • Feedback was not positive for the original wirframe for food ordering page

  • It was felt as being too busy

  • As a result I amended the full design so that it was much more simplified and overloading the user with too much content, that would not be optimised for the page
