Drug Reminder Website

Project Goal

Create a Website that was straight forward to function and made as accessible as possible

My Role:

The Lead U/X to create mock-ups and high fidelity designs, working with the development teams

Target Audience:

Users that were not tech savvy, with little experience of using apps, as well as people with accessibility issues that would be better managed on a desktop device

Challenges:

In particular, obtaining an adequate older age demographic, who take presciption drugs and have some experience of using websites.

Research

10 users in a central location over 1 day

Testing Results

5/10 users were not satisfied with the re-order page. This was changed afterwards to a horizontal layout, that provided more positive feedback. 9/10 were positive with the home page and the large icons to describe each of the steps.

Learnings

The research user group provided great feedback and valuable changes that can be made, especially from an accessibility point of view.

The next steps is make some tweaks to the design and obtain further user research.

Mockups and Prototypes

Great Local Restaurants website

Creating a site enabling users to order and select their ideal time to have their food delivered from their favourite local restaurants.

The target audience was varied with the demographic covering users of a wide age group, including people that didn't have time to make food due to work commitment, as well as families who wanted food from their favoutite places.

In the above I've included the prototype wireframe to showcase the work involved in creating the first drafts of how the food ordering page could be displayed. This would be the standard template used for the food order page.

For this project I was responsible for the U/I to work upfront and start witht he initial designs. The data and content of the website was to come late in the journey. The research was from conducting user interviews to understand what users want from a website like this.

Outcomes:

  • Feedback was not positive for the original wirframe for food ordering page

  • It was felt as being too busy

  • As a result I amended the full design so that it was much more simplified and overloading the user with too much content, that would not be optimised for the page
